Because our tours are limited to 11 guests per guide and because we are the only tour company offering pedal kayaks for the tour, our tours do tend to bookout during peak times of the year. We recommend you reserve your spot early.
Be sure to check the weather before your trip, and plan on getting wet during your adventure. Quick-dry athletic or workout clothing is recommended, while cotton should be avoided since it stays wet and can make you cold. Dressing in layers is the best way to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Because the area is rocky, sturdy footwear is highly recommended to help protect your feet. Don’t forget essentials like a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses for sun protection.
During colder months, we also offer wetsuit and splash gear rentals to help keep you warm on the water.
All participants are required to check in at our shop and complete their waivers before heading to the lake. During check-in, our staff will review a map with you and provide directions. Before leaving the shop, your group will be fitted with life jackets.
Please keep in mind that falling into the water is always a possibility, so come prepared just in case. Our instructors will show you how to safely and easily get back onto your kayak or paddleboard if needed.
There are no lifeguards on duty, so it’s important to use good judgment and know your limits. Remember: paddling out is optional — paddling back is required.
We offer kayaks designed to accommodate riders up to approximately 250 lbs (Please let us know if you require kayaks capable of supporting more than 250 lbs so that we may size your watercraft corrrectly). Guest safety is our top priority, and we reserve the right to cancel or modify a rental or tour if we believe conditions may pose a safety risk to you or others.
Participants should be physically capable of getting themselves back onto their kayak or paddleboard while in deep water, as there may not always be shoreline assistance available.
For added stability and flotation, some guests may feel more comfortable in a tandem kayak. If you would prefer that option, please let us know in advance. Feel free to contact us with any questions about equipment fit or comfort.

National Park Service regulations require all operators age 13 and older to have a USCG-approved Type III life jacket (Personal Flotation Device or PFD) either worn or attached to their vessel at all times. Children under 13 years old are required to wear a USCG-approved life jacket at all times while on the water.
Life jackets are included with all rentals and tours. Paddleboard leashes are also included and are required to be worn at all times for safety.
We recommend bringing plenty of water, snacks, and sun protection for your day on the lake. Since gear can get wet and Lake Powell is extremely deep, it’s important to secure your belongings and avoid dropping valuables into the water. Keeping items in a dry bag is highly recommended.
If you wear sunglasses — especially prescription sunglasses — we suggest using a floating tether or retainer strap.
Forgot something? We carry sunscreen, dry bags, floating phone cases, sunglass tethers, and other lake essentials in our shop.
Watercraft can be picked up at our store and transported on or in your car.
The inflatable Paddleboards fit nicely inside a suitcase sized bag and easily stow in your car.
Pedal Kayaks are built in sections and can easily come apart and be put back together. If you have a car with a backseat that can lay down, you should be able to transport these water craft in your car.
For traditional kayaks and hard sided paddleboards, we rent a tie down kit that includes everything you will need to tie watercraft to your vehicle regardless of whether it has a roof rack or not.
All of our tours explore the stunning recreation section of Antelope Canyon on Lake Powell, where guests paddle through towering red-rock canyon walls, crystal-clear water, and breathtaking desert scenery.
The minimum age for guided tours is 6 years old. Children ages 6–12 are required to ride in a tandem kayak with an adult due to the distance and duration of the tour. Children under 6 years old are not permitted on guided tours.
Our area can be a little confusing because there are two different time zones nearby, and your phone may automatically switch back and forth. We recommend setting your phone manually to Phoenix time and turning off automatic time zone updates — just like the locals do.
Each guide can accommodate up to 11 guests per tour. We also offer private tours for guests looking for a more personalized experience.
Yes, life jackets are included with all tours and rentals, and they are required to be worn at all times while on the water.
The National Park Service does not allow dogs on guided tours, but dogs are welcome on rentals. Pets are also welcome in our shop, though we ask that they remain on a leash due to heavy traffic both inside the store and along the nearby street.
While gratuity is always a personal choice and should reflect the quality of service you receive, guests often ask for general guidelines. Our guides work hard to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience, and gratuities are greatly appreciated. A tip of 15–20% of your tour cost is customary for excellent service. Cash is preferred, but if you don’t have cash available, feel free to ask your guide or our shop staff about other tipping options.
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not allow paddleboards on our tours.
Neither. Our tours explore the lowest section of Antelope Canyon right before it enters Lake Powell. This is within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, which is only accessible by water.
Yes! Our Antelope Canyon tours are operating as normal. Please wear sturdy footwear, as current lake levels require walking down a sandy hill from the end of the boat launch to reach the water.
The hike is rated Easy and consists mostly of walking on sand with little to no elevation gain. Guests may need to step over a few rocks along the way.
Our Paddle & Hike Tour lasts approximately 4 hours and includes about 5 miles of paddling along with roughly 1 mile of hiking through the canyon.
Our Paddle Tour (No Hike) follows a similar route but skips the hiking portion, making it approximately 3 hours long.
Both experiences are out-and-back adventures, meaning you will return to the same boat launch where your tour began.
Drive yourself to Antelope Point Boat Launch, located approximately 11 miles (17.7 km) away. There, you’ll enter the park and meet your guide before beginning your adventure. The tour follows an out-and-back route through the canyon.
Groups with an even number of guests will be paired in tandem kayaks. Solo guests, or groups with an odd number, will use a single kayak.
No kayaking experience is required, though participants should have a reasonable level of fitness.
